Social Pedagogue at Rosenberg School
Do you want to make a real difference in children's safety, attendance, and well-being? We are now looking for an engaged social pedagogue who wants to be an active and present adult in the school's everyday life – focusing on early interventions, safety-promoting work, and support for both students and educators.
About the Position
We are currently seeking a social pedagogue who wants to contribute with a relational, structured, and solution-focused approach in the school's student health work as well as in the promoting and preventive work at the individual, group, and organizational levels.
As a social pedagogue, you have an important role in the school's safety work and in the work with early interventions. You act as a support and relief for educators in student-related matters and collaborate closely with the student health team, school management, and working groups. You are a visible and active adult in the school's everyday life and contribute to creating good relationships, structure, and safety for the students.
Your responsibilities include:
- Supporting and relieving educators in the work with investigations of harassment and follow-ups
- Working on attendance issues in collaboration with class teachers, student health, and guardians
- Contributing to early interventions and preventive support for students
- Collaborating with student health, educators, and external actors as needed
- Being an active part of the school's promoting and preventive work
- Being a playground supervisor and a safe adult in the school's common areas
- Working with individual students and student groups based on needs.
About the Workplace
Rosenberg School is a F–6 school with about 410 students and dedicated staff. Here we work based on the belief that all children are everyone's children, and that good relationships and an inclusive approach are the foundation for a safe and developing school. The Rosenberg school area also includes Ekedalens School F–6 and Fröjered School F–3.
We are building the school of the future through clear leadership and collegial learning. With us, professional development is a priority, and we are in the process of creating a development organization where structures for collegial learning are the foundation. Through clear leadership focused on education, we together create an environment characterized by optimism for the future and good health. Here we systematically analyze our teaching to ensure a joyful and meaningful learning experience for every student.
We are proud of our work culture, which is based on a responsible organization and a strong commitment where we share joy, challenges, and common goals. Here you will meet unpretentious teams that collaborate closely and support each other in all situations. We know that safety and good relationships are the foundation for both students' and staff's success. You will become part of a close-knit team where we lift each other up to truly be a school for all.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with an education as a social pedagogue, or another relevant education that the employer deems equivalent. We also see that you have experience in social and preventive work with children and youth, preferably within a school setting.
To thrive in this role, you need to have:
- Good ability to create trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues
- Knowledge of the school's values and mission
- Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
- A calm, safe, and solution-focused approach
Experience in working with attendance issues, harassment cases, or collaboration with student health is an advantage.
We Offer
A meaningful and varied job where you have the opportunity to make a difference every day. You will be part of a dedicated team with close collaboration between professions.
